Jeannie Hoyt

Author Bio

My passion is writing.

My current genre is Women's Fiction, but I think there is a Children’s Book brewing inside!

I have been married for7 years and enjoy time with my husband. Between the two of us we have 7 adult children and 12 grandchildren.

I live in a quiet, small town in South Dakota, which is perfect for doing all the writing I want to do.

Life is good!

Jeannie Hoyt grew up in the sixties and seventies era. Her desire to write came to life in junior high when she was given her first theme book and encouraged to write by her English teacher, Mrs. Kriesel. She credits Mrs. Kriesel for igniting the creative juices inside of her from a young age.

After marrying in the late seventies, Jeannie had five kids born between 1977 and 1993. Her life was filled with everything from t-ball games to science projects, and transportation took place in a Caprice Classic station wagon or the typical minivan.

Jeanie is a contributing writer for godtv.com and has 2 articles published on their website. The first was written in June of 2019. It was titled “Embrace Your God-Given Identity”. The second was written in September of 2019. It was titled “Our Authority In Christ”.

She is currently writing a 4- book series around the characters of her first book, Gina.

Now an empty-nester, Jeannie lives in a small town in South Dakota with her husband, Jim, and her faithful (but slightly spoiled) companion, Cupcake.

She takes great pleasure in writing books about life in the sixties and seventies and uses her life experiences to help create characters and circumstances that come to life in print.
